Bev­erly Butler

Beverly ButlerBev­erly is an award win­ning play­wright and short story writer who leads the com­mu­ni­ca­tions func­tion for online ser­vices of a major finan­cial insti­tu­tion at its cor­po­rate head­quar­ters in San Fran­cisco. She began her career as a tele­vi­sion news reporter and pro­ducer with the NBC affil­i­ate in her home­town of Grand Rapids, Michi­gan. For more than 25 years she’s worked in major cor­po­ra­tions and inter­na­tional non-profits devel­op­ing and direct­ing mar­ket­ing, pub­lic rela­tions, and cri­sis com­mu­ni­ca­tion strategies.

Bev­erly is on sev­eral boards includ­ing San Fran­cisco Pub­lic Rela­tions Round­table, Part­ner­ship for Chil­dren and Youth, and The­atre Bay Area.

Bev­erly and her con­trac­tor hus­band live in a 100-year-old arts and crafts style home with their teen twins, two cats, and the ghost of the pre­vi­ous owner.

Sue Warhaftig

Sue WarhaftigSue is a grad­u­ate of the Uni­ver­sity of Col­orado Boul­der with a BA in Psy­chol­ogy and Soci­ol­ogy. She earned an advanced degree in Mas­sage Ther­apy from the Boul­der Col­lege of Mas­sage and cur­rently has a flour­ish­ing mas­sage ther­apy prac­tice in Mill Val­ley, Cal­i­for­nia. In addi­tion, she is an arti­san spe­cial­iz­ing in hand­made, recy­cled, vin­tage ear­rings avail­able across the coun­try under the name Tabernash.

When not mak­ing jew­elry or writ­ing, Sue blogs on Weight Watcher’s site and for the knit­ting com­mu­nity Raverly. She is card car­ry­ing PTA mom, some­times resent­ful car­pooler, and always lov­ing mother of two kind and sweet teenaged sons. She is mar­ried to a bonafide rocket sci­en­tist with MIT pedigree.

On any day of the week Sue can be found at yoga, the com­mu­nity pool, gar­den­ing, hik­ing, walk­ing the dogs, knit­ting, spin­ning wool or row­ing on San Fran­cisco Bay. She is proud to have spent less than five min­utes the last two decades think­ing about her for­mer career in geospa­tial soft­ware qual­ity assurance.
